It's a quick process. First, a recruiter screens you. Then, you'll have a behavioral interview with a director where they'll ask about your experience. Following that, there's a one-hour case study with someone from the analytics team. Lastly, you'll meet the hiring manager for the team you'd be joining.
- Describe your experience.
- How would you approach optimizing retention and client engagement, taking into account ads and revenue? You'll use Excel for this case study.
Assistant Director
The whole thing was super professional and easy. First, a 45-minute phone screen with a Recruiter. She went over the job description and duties, checked my interest, and then went through my whole resume. She asked questions about my resume and also about how I've led people in different career situations. At the end, she asked if I wanted to move forward. I said yes, and she said she'd call back to set up an in-person interview. She called that Wednesday afternoon and set up an on-site for Friday. This face-to-face interview was with three Managing Directors and one VP and lasted about 3.5 hours. They asked if I wanted to continue, and I said yes. They said they'd tell the Recruiter, who'd be in touch that afternoon. The Recruiter called that afternoon and scheduled a 'side-by-side' for the next Wednesday. When I got there, I interviewed with two Directors for about an hour. Then I sat with a Manager and a Senior Manager for about 1.5 hours each. They asked questions, but mostly showed me their systems, asked for my questions, and checked if I was a good cultural fit. The day after, the Recruiter called with an offer. I accepted, and she emailed me the background check and drug screening stuff. The drug test was done in a few days, and the background check took about a week and a half. After that cleared, the recruiter contacted me to set up the New Hire Training.
- Could you elaborate on the key stages of your career path?
- Describe your experience in managing teams to enhance productivity.
- Explain how you've handled systems to achieve better outcomes.

It started with a phone interview, and then I was scheduled for my in-person interview at their building. My onsite interview was a bit unusual because a system glitch caused my appointment to be lost, so I ended up being interviewed by a different department. The onsite part involved a 1:1 meeting, followed by another 1:1 meeting, and then an interview with two managers and myself. After that, I was informed they'd be in touch with a decision. Later, I received a call with the offer, and then I was given an address to complete a drug test.
- Can you tell me about your personal goals?
- What is your perspective on life?
- What areas do you think you need to develop personally?

The interview lasted about 45 minutes and I spoke with two people who hadn't been with the company for even a year. They seemed unsure of themselves and spent more time asking about my hobbies instead of my experience and skills on my resume. They asked the same questions over and over and didn't seem very engaged. After the interview, they left for about 10 minutes. Then a manager came back and said, 'you're a recruiter, you should know what's next.' and 'We'll call you.' I didn't hear back for 4 weeks. I'm glad I missed out on this opportunity, as their hours are bad and their management seems questionable based on the interview. You have to work every other Saturday and alternate opening and closing shifts during the week. Management also doesn't appreciate candidates who are confident and articulate.
- What are your hobbies outside of work?
