First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bridge Legal.
Analyst
The interviewee was late by 7 minutes without any warning, which felt disrespectful. The interviewer also asked some questions that were not related to the job description and interrupted the interviewee frequently while they were answering.
- Could you answer some random math questions?
- Could you answer some questions based on your resume?
Legal Intern
I was first recruited on LinkedIn, then screened by recruiter, then moved on to an interview with the executive assistant, and finally an in-person interview with the CEO/founder. It was for a new kind of legal intern position they had just created, which seemed interesting but a bit unconventional. Sounded like they were looking for someone who could contribute a semester's worth of legal research and not much more. Culture seemed on-brand with how you'd imagine other tech start-ups.
- Tell me about a work accomplishment you're proud of.
- What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Administrative Assistant
It was a friendly environment. They asked competency-based questions about my experience. They asked questions relating to the job, including admin duties. They talked about a variety of different rolls offered. They asked about my qualifications. They asked about when I’ve worked in a team and when I’ve been a leader. They also asked about when I have produced a large piece of work.
- Can you share some of your experiences related to administrative tasks?
- Tell me about a situation where you worked as part of a team.
- Describe a time you acted as a leader.
Customer Success Associate
I got an email from their hiring manager to schedule an introductory phone screen. From that initial call she thought I was well qualified and set up a 2nd round meeting with a person on the team. Although I felt the 2nd round interview went well I never heard back from them. What's frustrating is that during the 2nd interview the person said they'd like to move me on to the 3rd round and even prepped me for what that would look like. I did reach out just twice after being ghosted and finally received work back 6 days after the 2nd attempt at contact. The hiring manager got a lot of little details wrong such as misspelling my name and scheduling the call for a time I explicitly said I was not available.
- How do you prefer to conduct onboarding meetings?
