I applied using my CV and then had a chat with the senior manager. It was quite informal. They asked me about my past work experience and how I approach tasks. We specifically discussed my prior bartending experience, as mentioned on my CV. After that, we had a relaxed conversation about my personal interests, my university studies, and my availability.

The interview was very casual. I got a call for an interview, and they didn't give me much detail. I wore casual clothes and they interviewed me right at the bar, in a booth. I guess they picked a slow day because there were only 5 customers.

The interview process involved two Teams meetings. The first, under an hour, was a review of my CV and experience in late February 2024. After a weeks-long wait, the second interview was scheduled for early April 2024. I had to prepare and present on a given topic, followed by questions. Although it went well, I was told there would be a 1-2 week delay as another person was being interviewed. I emailed some questions the day after the second interview but received no response. Two weeks later, I followed up and eventually had to contact another employee. I was promised a response by Monday, but never received one. Almost a month after the interview, I heard nothing and decided to stop pursuing it, assuming I was ghosted. It was a long, drawn-out process, and despite my effort, there was a lack of respect in not answering basic questions or updating me on the outcome. I believe working there might reflect this poor recruitment process, so it's worth avoiding.

I had a really positive experience during the interview process. I felt I was able to articulate my skills and experiences well, and I think I connected with the interviewer. I gave examples that demonstrated my qualifications for the role, and I left feeling confident about how I did. Overall, I'm optimistic about the opportunity and am looking forward to hearing back.
