Director
The interview process started with a 1-hour phone screen. After that, there was an assignment that needed to be completed within 2 hours. This was followed by a 1-hour hiring manager interview focusing on technical and behavioral questions. Next, a panel interview lasting 1 hour involved technical, behavioral, and scenario-based questions. Finally, there was an interview with leadership.

Director, Employer Partnerships
My interview experience had a phone screen with a recruiter, then a 3-hour performance task, and finally a 30-minute interview with the Hiring Manager. The recruiter felt cold and robotic. During the initial phone screen, there were several red flags like expecting employees to work 50-60 hour weeks without overtime and having non-negotiable salaries, which I've never seen before. The 3-hour performance task was next, which felt like a long time to invest before talking to the hiring manager. The hiring manager call was rushed, he said it's normally 1 hour but mine was only 30 minutes due to his tight schedule. He asked almost the same questions as the recruiter, which felt like a waste of time. I only got to ask one question during the entire process.
- Can you describe an instance where you created something from the ground up?
Data Analyst
The interview process was extremely drawn out, lasting two months and including a phone screening, a 3-hour assessment, a hiring manager interview, and a panel interview. I was given an anticipated start date during my phone screening, but the panel interview didn't happen until a month after that date. I had to send multiple follow-up emails to get updates throughout the process. The worst part was waiting for a decision after my final interview. I was told I'd hear back by a certain date, but I didn't. I sent a follow-up email two business days after that deadline. A week later, I was informed I wouldn't be offered the role, and they wanted to let me know "as soon as possible." I suspect they offered the role to another candidate and were waiting for their acceptance, but I wish they had respected my time more, given how incredibly long the process was.
- Can you share an instance of a technically demanding project you've undertaken?
Site Director
Braven had a really open interview process for the director role. They made sure to share a lot of info from the first phone screen all the way to the last interview so I could make a good choice about the job and company. I never felt like they weren't being straight with me and they were more considerate of my time than other places I've interviewed. It felt like they were thinking about how much of my time was being used.
- Can you describe a situation where you gave constructive criticism to someone you managed?
