It was a really long interview process. I applied in November, and then filled out a questionnaire in December. After that, I had a video interview in December, followed by a second interview in January. I finally got an offer around March or April. It took a while, but I get it, internships can be tricky to hire for.

It was a pretty smooth process. I started with a recruiter who was super quick to respond and got me to the next step. That was a video call with the Director of Project Management. Even though I'm local, they wanted to do it over Zoom to check my tech skills. It wasn't too long and felt pretty good; they were chill and friendly. But then, when I asked about hearing back, I didn't get a response within their timeframe. I followed up three times over about two weeks about what was next. Sadly, I didn't get selected to move forward. It was an okay experience overall.

I applied online and heard back the next day to come in for an interview at their Myrtle Beach office. Right off the bat, they asked if I'd take less than 30k for a full-time gig with benefits. That told me everything I needed to know about the company and its leaders. I made more an hour back in high school. Companies that treat candidates this poorly shouldn't be negotiated with, and I hope they don't treat clients the same way.
