Software Engineer
A recruiter reached out to me initially, then I had a phone screen with the hiring manager. After that, I was invited for a final interview with the team. This final round included a live coding session and some behavioral questions. The whole process was pretty nice, and everyone seemed really into their work at Brandfolder. I got another offer, so I took that, but I'd be open to working there again later.

Business Development Representative
First, a recruiter reached out, and we had a 30-minute chat. After that, I interviewed with management for another 30 minutes. Then, they wanted to schedule a 2-hour video conference, which required me to take time off from my current job. Following that, I was asked to put together a "light" presentation, which ended up taking me 3 days to complete, drawing on my experience as a top inbound BDR at my current well-known tech company. I had to present this project over Zoom to 4 people who didn't have their cameras on, making it very uncomfortable as I felt they might not be paying attention. After my presentation, they grilled me with product questions and stated my project wasn't thoughtful enough. About a month later, the recruiter called to say I didn't get the job because of "lack of enthusiasm." I've worked for major companies and startups before and never had such an awful interview experience.

Content Marketing Manager
I was reached out to by a recruiter about a week after applying. The call with the recruiter was really good and I got a positive vibe about the company because the benefits and pay sounded great and they seemed supportive. I was then scheduled to interview with the hiring manager. It felt like things went south within the first 5 minutes. I thought I was answering fine, but the manager seemed uninterested after a bit and was rushing. She would zone out when I was talking and just say 'For sure.' when I finished. I felt disrespected and like I wasn't really being considered. About an hour after the interview, I got the rejection email.

Sales Development Representative
I applied on LinkedIn and got contacted by a recruiter. We had an initial phone call where I thought I was going to move on to the next step. They even gave me the name and position of the next interviewer. But then I didn't get the follow-up email I was expecting. After three business days, I got an automated rejection. I know companies get a lot of applicants, but we're people too, so treat us like it. A real person told me I'd proceed, and then getting a rejection via a non-reply email with no feedback or explanation is really unprofessional, in my opinion.
