The first interview was with the hiring manager. We had a good, straightforward talk about the role and what makes it challenging. It took a while to get an update, but the manager eventually let me know they had already extended an offer to another candidate.

I was first emailed to schedule a phone screen. After that, about a month later, I was invited for an in-person interview. That seemed to go well, and I had individual and panel interviews. Then, a couple of weeks after that, I was asked back for a second in-person interview. After all those interviews, I waited over two weeks with no response from the department. It felt disrespectful and uncaring to go through all that and then get no feedback.
