It was pretty straightforward and not too difficult. They inquired about my education and my understanding of mechanical concepts. I had to explain my background and then they asked me about my work preferences and how I would approach a specific problem. They also wanted to check my communication and problem-solving abilities.

So for the interview process, first we had an online assessment, then a group discussion, followed by a technical interview, and finally an HR interview. The first round was held remotely, while the second and third rounds were conducted at the company premises on the same day. For the fourth round, the HR interview, a separate date will be scheduled.

The interview process involves a few steps. First is a technical round that's case study-based. You might get questions like 'If the company wants to enter a new market, what should they do?' or 'How can we increase EBITDA for a business unit?'. This round needs guesstimates, problem-solving, and business sense. If you pass that, you'll meet the Business Unit Head. They'll ask behavioral questions to see if you fit in and strategic questions like 'What to consider to improve EBITDA for a business unit?'. Then, the MD round is mainly case-based, but they might also ask behavioral stuff to check your alignment with the company. Lastly, an HR chat to sort out pay, expectations, and culture fit.

I was asked technical questions covering core engineering principles and practices. They also tested my knowledge in manufacturing and production processes, drafting and design principles, and implementation and management techniques. Lastly, they inquired about previous projects, focusing on evaluation and development.
