First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brake Masters.
Intern
The interview process was really good, well-structured, and had dynamic assessments. I felt comfortable sharing my story. There were 3 interview rounds: HR, management, and senior management. The competency assessments were aligned with what I'd be doing in the position.
- Tell me about a challenging situation and how you handled it.
Technician
They have a test and then an interview. They ask basic questions, and they're always looking for techs at any level. It's a good company to work for, and the test and interview are really easy.
- Are you a dependable employee?
Assistant Manager
The interview process was pretty unstructured. One of the regional managers from the AZ Area was really rude. When I started introducing myself and mentioned my Associate's degree from the local community college in Automotive Technology, he cut me off saying, 'Just (community college name), not UTI!' I tried to continue, explaining I later got a Bachelor's in business management from the local university, but he interrupted again asking, 'What good does that do us?' He then left the interview early. The other two managers, a district manager and another regional manager, completed the interview and were polite. I'm not sure what his issue was.
- What value do you bring to our team?
- Can you elaborate on your past experience?
- Can you describe your educational background?
Intern
The process has 4 stages: a questionnaire, profile analysis, group dynamics activities, and finally an interview with the manager and psychology professionals. At the end, they send the offer and additional information to do the internship.
- Tell me about your place of study.
- Do you have any behavioral questions?
- Participate in group dynamics.
