It was a disjointed and unorganized interview process. I was ghosted after my call with the CEO, which was surprising since he told me to proceed. It felt like an early-stage role, and there wasn't a clear growth strategy. They seemed to just want to add headcount and expected people to figure things out on their own.

So, for these LLM type jobs, we usually start with a quick chat to see if you're motivated and have the right background. Then, there's a technical interview where we'll dive into things like Transformer basics, how to fine-tune models, RLHF, how we measure performance, and making things scalable.

I recently had an interview that was entirely conducted by AI. They asked general questions about the role and specific scenarios, asking me to explain how I'd react to certain work challenges and problems. It was an interesting experience – no human interviewer, just me and the algorithm, but the questions were surprisingly well-crafted.

I thought the company was pretty sharp with a solid business model. The interview process involved a video call, a coding challenge, and then another video interview. My second interviewer was a bit of a downer, honestly. He started by criticizing my previous client's business model, which I thought was out of line, and he was really opinionated about some software stuff. He just came off as kind of annoying, like someone I wouldn't want to collaborate with. Oh, and they also record you without getting your okay first, which felt pretty shady.
