The whole interview process took over two months. I made it to the final interview of three stages, but then I never heard back. It’s really disrespectful. The questions asked were pretty standard and conversational.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was pretty straightforward, involving chats with several directors I'd likely collaborate with. Thankfully, no case study or proposal was needed, which is typical for this field. They didn't really set salary expectations properly though. They initially suggested my desired salary was 'high, but not too far off.' In the end, they offered me 25k less than I put on the application, which felt quite far off. I bet their recruiting team would say I wasn't upfront about my current salary or expectations. I feel a 25k difference should have been discussed before the offer stage.

It was an easy process, though it did take a while. However, the interviews were scheduled pretty close together so it didn't feel like it dragged on. They asked a lot of background questions to really get a sense of my experience and the projects I've worked on. They seem really interested in understanding my research background.

I got referred to the role and did the HR call. They said they'd get back to me within 2 weeks, but they never did. I had to follow up, and then they told me they selected someone else. It felt like they might have already picked someone and interviewed me anyway, without the courtesy of letting me know.
