First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BR+A.
Mechanical Engineer
I directly interviewed with 3 director-level engineers, skipping the recruiter screening. The first round went well, and they invited me for a second, on-site interview. The recruiter scheduled it but then went silent about travel details. A few days before, she canceled abruptly, saying the position was filled. The interviewers were nice, but the HR department's handling was unprofessional and left a poor impression.
- Can you describe your previous projects?
Engineer
Had a zoom call with 3 senior engineering/management folks and one younger engineer with 4+ years of experience. It was casual, conversational, and comfortable. They told me more about the company, their projects, and the culture. They asked some light technical questions and some questions about me.
- What's prompting your job search away from your current role?
HVAC Engineer
The interview process was straightforward, starting with questions about you and then a tour of the office. They were mainly assessing your communication skills and eagerness to learn.
- Can you tell me how you know your contact at the company?
- What were your responsibilities in your previous role?
Electrical Design Engineer
The interview process for my internship was pretty straightforward. The interviewer was really nice and welcoming. They mainly asked about the projects I was involved in during college and also a bit about my technical background.
- Could you elaborate on the projects you've undertaken during your college years?
- Tell me about your technical background.
