Behavioral Technical Presentation

I found out about the company through a Linkedin Message, the role looked appealing and I was excited to throw my hat into the ring. The entire process I worked with a recruiter, a different person than the man who reached out on Linkedin. She was great in almost every way, very responsive, I know she was rooting for me and I liked her but she was just very hard to understand. It sounds bad saying this but I knew English was not her first language, I speak Spanish and was tempted to switch to Spanish for the process to make it easier for me to understand. That initial call was easy but had to repeat certain questions I had multiple times and I held a few questions back since I didn't think she would understand them. This became an issue the next time I chatted with her, I applied to be considered for the Account Executive position with a salary of $75k. After the 3-4th interview with the VP of sales, I had a 2nd call with my recruiter, where I was told I'd then be considered for the SMB role for a salary of $60k. I was open to it and wanted to learn more to see if it was right for me. The day my recruiter called about this, she was having technical issues where she sounded muffled and far away, that paired with her English, I feel like I missed an opportunity to strategize and plan the next few rounds of interviews and was unable to ask the questions I wanted. After this call is where the communication was odd and sporadic and I really had no idea what was going on. I must have done 5-7 interviews/ calls with multiple individuals, including the CEO at the end, a top manager, a number of reps, the VP of sales, and maybe 2-3, more calls. I would have appreciated this info at the start if it was possible. By the time I chatted with the CEO, the last call, I was feeling really positive, I knew the company was hiring aggressively, looking to hire quite a few more AE's so I was confident I'd get a slot. There was radio silence for a week after the CEO conversation (he's great btw, I really enjoyed my chat with him but was only 10 minutes long). I then found out from the recruiter I was working with that they would not move forward with me. Within the next few hours I sent out 2 thank you emails looking for feedback but have not heard back and it's been almost a week. Update as of July 31 2021: Boulevard has since reached out with a phone call and provided the feedback I was looking for. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted, it just was not meant to be and that's ok!

The interview process at Boulevard was great! It only took two weeks from my first interview to the job offer after responding to a LinkedIn message. I rated the process as “easy” relative to other sales interviews because usually, sales positions require a demo or role play, but Boulevard’s process focused more on getting to know you as a person and your work ethic, and vice versa. I had a wonderful experience and everyone I spoke with, including the CEO, made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. So important!!!

Behavioral Presentation

Even though I was hired during the pandemic, which might sound a bit nerve-wracking, the interview process was actually super smooth. The hiring and talent acquisition teams were really supportive throughout. It started with a quick phone call and then wrapped up with a lengthy 2.5-hour panel interview done over Zoom. I had a ton of questions, and the talent acquisition team was super responsive and answered every single one. They really put in the effort to help me out, and I appreciated their attentiveness.
