The interview process is tough, with about 4 to 5 rounds in total. It starts with a technical screening. Then, there's an offshore or senior-level interview, followed by a tech managerial round. Finally, there's an HR interview.

So I had four interviews. First was like a quick chat with the recruiter, just talking about me and the job. Then I talked to the director of software engineering, and he hit me with some technical questions on the tools we use like Java and SQL. After that, I had a chat with a senior software engineer. He asked more tech questions, plus stuff about data structures and algorithms, like how to reverse a string in Java and how to handle matching parentheses. I didn't actually code live, just talked through my approach. The last interview was with the VP of engineering, and he asked a lot of the same technical questions. It all seemed to go well, but they ended up hiring someone with more experience.

I was first contacted by HR via phone, but it took about 3 weeks for them to respond. When they did schedule an interview, it was for the wrong job description. After I pointed this out, they corrected the JD but insisted on keeping the same interview panel. The entire interview felt like a waste of my time and energy, like a mockery of experienced IT professionals. I'm surprised a junior person was sent to interview a senior candidate, or maybe the interviewer was on the bench due to lack of project experience.
