Customer Service Representative
It was pretty simple. First, a quick phone screen, then you go in for two in-person interviews. They usually get back to you within two weeks after the on-site interviews to let you know if they're offering you the job or if they found someone else.
- Can you share an experience where you had to handle a challenging customer?
Customer Service Representative
I interviewed onsite for the role. They said a decision would be made in a few days since other interviews were still happening. Initially, I was told there was a hold on the position. Then, I didn't hear back for weeks and got no feedback. I had to reach out to the recruiter for an update and was only then told about a month later that the role had been filled internally.
- Can you tell us about your past work experience?
- We'd like you to complete a mock call and email exercise.
Customer Support Specialist
I sent in my resume and got an email back super fast, within an hour. They asked me to schedule a phone chat with HR. The HR call went great, and then they invited me to come in for an in-person interview with the department. I had an interview scheduled for a week later to meet with three people. HR met me first, gave me a binder with the day's schedule and company info. Then I met the first interviewer. She asked a lot of questions that seemed unrelated to the job, like probing my opinions on upper management and how things should be passed down. Honestly, I answered everything, even made her laugh and say "wow, never thought of it that way." Then, out of nowhere, she said the next two interviewers were called away and that I was done for the day and HR would be in touch to reschedule. Total nonsense. The HR person would've told me upfront if things changed. My guess? They can't ask age on the phone. She was maybe mid to late 20s, I'm 51. I've never had an interview go like that in all my years. It was really messed up. I emailed HR when I got home and got a quick, curt reply saying they were going with other candidates. Such a waste of my time. All those reviews about them treating employees poorly now seem totally believable, and I'm glad I found out now rather than later. If they treat candidates like this, imagine how they treat their staff.
- What matters most to you, ranked: getting along with management, getting along with colleagues, or salary?
- If you were offered this role and a project had a deadline, would you be willing to work overtime to complete it?
