First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boston Web Marketing.
SEO Specialist
The interview process is pretty straightforward. It typically involves a video call with a manager where they'll ask about your previous marketing experience. Occasionally, there's a second interview before they extend an offer.
- Can you share which of your past skills would be suitable for this position?
SEO Specialist
It was a good experience for someone just starting out in digital marketing and looking for a job after college. There were a couple of chats with people who were both senior and junior, just to see if it felt like a good fit for the company.
- What's your background in SEO and digital marketing?
Customer Service and SEO Specialist
I applied via email, and then got called in the next week for an interview. The first interview was with the head of HR and another employee. They gave a lot of info about the job duties and what a normal workday/week would be like. They also talked a lot about the kind of person they're looking for, which helped me get a clear idea of the role and decide if it was still a good fit. It was a good experience, and I was excited. They asked me back for a second interview two days later. This time it was with the President and the VP of Operations. Mostly, the President asked me about potential red flags on my resume, past interview answers, and my current answers. Be ready for some pressure, because it's coming. It wasn't too much, but he wants to see you think fast. After some final questions, he asked about my pay expectations and start date, and then I got the job.
- Can you discuss your resume?
- Tell me about the responsibilities of this job.
- What can you tell me about your answers to previous questions?
SEO Specialist
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with an informal phone chat to get a feel for the kind of person you are. The second round, which might be the last, involves coming into their office for an interview with the VP and Accounts Director. The interview felt very laid back.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
- What makes you want to work at this company?
