First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boston Store.
Stock Clerk
It was a pretty comprehensive process, focusing a lot on fit and customer service. They asked me standard questions about my resume and past work experiences (like what I learned from them) and then how I'd approach resolving common customer issues or questions. They also asked about my hobbies outside of work. The manager seemed like a good leader for the large team and was welcoming and relaxed during the interview. I got the offer the following week via email and a voicemail.
- Can you share an instance of providing great customer service and describe what made it effective?
Beauty Advisor
The hiring process might take a little bit more time than usual. You will be required to take the "Talent +" interview over the phone, an interview with a counter manager, and maybe (depends on the situation) an interview with the Cosmetic Manager or Cosmetic Line Executive. You will be asked questions regarding your inborn talents (such as empathy, goal - achiever, leadership and so on) at the Talent + interview. You will need to do the Department Store Assessment Test.
- Didn't encounter any difficult or unexpected questions.
Sales Associate
The process was pretty straightforward. I applied online and got a call back within a week for an interview. It was with a sales manager, and they asked some basic questions about me and my retail background. After that, I got the offer and then had to come in for a 4-hour training session and do some paperwork.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Tell me about your retail experience.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
Sales Associate
I applied online and heard back from them a few days later. The employees I met while waiting in the office lounge area were friendly. After the 20-minute interview, I was offered the job. I stayed in contact over the following week before a 3-hour training day. During the first week, I shadowed another employee in my department closely.
- Tell me about a time you exceeded expectations to assist a customer.
