I applied through LinkedIn and sent in my resume. First, I had to complete a MS Word document with about 8 questions about my background and experience. Then, I had a short chat on LinkedIn with the recruiter, and after that, I didn't hear back. It turns out that the 'nice to have' requirement for an active security clearance in the job description was actually a must-have. They didn't follow up or offer to continue the interview process. If I had known this upfront, I wouldn't have even applied.
