First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BOSSCAT.
Growth Partner
We started with an intro call, and then you went through 2-3 panel interviews, which included peer-to-peer ones. The questions were mostly behavioral, focusing on sales experience in real estate or home services, and also touched on culture fit.
- Why do you want to work at BOSSCAT?
Sales Representative
We had a few rounds of interviews, which included a group interview and some one-on-one chats to see if you'd fit in with the team and get the job. After you're hired, a current employee will be your go-to person for the first few weeks to help you with any questions and show you the ropes.
- Do you already have connections with real estate agents, contractors, lenders, or attorneys?
Customer Care Representative
I applied on LinkedIn and they emailed me for a video chat. After that first bit, they emailed saying they wanted to extend the hours and make the pay hourly instead of salary. I emailed back saying that was fine. Then the interviewer called and asked about my part-time job, which isn't related. I told her I wouldn't quit it without an official offer. She seemed to get it and we ended the call. I got a rejection email about a week later. Kind of a bummer because I was hoping to stay in real estate/home renovation, and I've had to take what I can get since being laid off two years ago. But honestly, I think I dodged a bullet; this place seems like a mess.
- Do you have previous experience with inspections, home construction, or renovations?
Marketing Specialist
I had a basic screening interview and after that, I was pretty sure I wouldn't get another one. There were some awkward silences I had to fill, which is never great as the interviewee. A few days after sending a thank you email, I got a response saying they were selecting for the next round and would let me know later that week, but I never heard back. I don't think I really fit the requirements, so it was expected, but it's annoying when they don't even bother to tell you.
- What aspects of company culture are important to you?
- What about this role interested you?
- Could you share some of your previous accomplishments that align with this position?
