First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boral.
Operator
The interview process involves meeting with the plant manager and all area supervisors. They were very professional and direct with their answers. They were open to showing me the work I'd be doing in the field. The company is an equal opportunity employer that prioritizes safety, offers good pay and benefits, and provides all necessary tools for the job. It was a great interview experience.
- You'll be questioned about the job you applied for.
- Be honest and up front.
- Know what you applied for, and you'll do just fine.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
It was a fast interview process. They knew exactly who they wanted and were very professional. They were friendly and professional, but you could tell they had their own personalities. The interview was in a meeting room, and they came in to talk to you. They had notepads and laptops and took notes on what was said. They tried to seem intimidating, but it was mostly a bluff.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your qualifications?
- How do you handle challenges?
IT
It was a pretty standard 2-stage interview process, plus a psychometric test and a drug test. The first stage was mainly technical, and the second was with the boss to see if I was a good fit. Boral seems to do interviews the same way for everyone, no matter the job. They're pretty strict with their rules and policies, so don't expect to negotiate much. The HR person said they don't really look at the psychometric or drug test results, but they have to do them because of head office rules.
- How would you deal with a Project Owner who wants to change the scope of a project?
Supply Planner
The interview lasted about 30 minutes and included typical questions about my strengths, weaknesses, and achievements. They answered the questions I asked properly. The interview concluded in 30 minutes, and I got my results within 3 hours. Following that, I had to undergo a physical check-up and reference checks.
- Tell me about your achievements.
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
