First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Booster.
Account Executive
The interview process was a bit long but fairly straightforward. It started with a pre-screen, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then, there was a mock presentation where I was given background data and had a lot of freedom to prepare. Finally, I interviewed with the Head of Sales. For the presentation, the key was to focus on delivering value to the decision-maker and understanding the benefits of on-site fueling with a technology component for fleets.

Recruiting Director
The phone interviewer seemed a bit unfriendly. He mentioned how competitive it is to get a phone interview with them. I saw online that customers are happy with Booster, but employees aren't. That's not a big deal to me because startups have growing pains. But I couldn't even tell if he enjoyed his job there. When I asked about benefits, he shared some cool perks like unlimited PTO. However, when it came to salary, he said, 'We expect people to know their worth' and then kind of stumbled without giving a salary range. Most of my phone interviews have left me feeling positive about the recruiter and the company, but this one made me realize it wasn't a good fit for me.
- Could you describe your experience with different Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)?
Product Manager
I felt really disrespected during this interview process, even though it was through a placement agency and initially seemed fine. The last round was the worst. We had three calls scheduled for Friday afternoon. I confirmed them that day, but the last two people, the hiring manager and CEO, just never called in. No cancellation, no warning, even though the zoom links worked. I waited on the zoom call for 90 minutes, expecting someone to show up and apologize for being late, but nobody did. The next week, I followed up with an email and a voicemail asking if I had the schedule wrong. They called me back and told me they had already extended an offer to someone else and expected them to accept. It was incredibly frustrating and degrading to have leaders schedule confirmed calls for a role that wasn't even available.

Process Optimization Leader
I was given a job offer, but then it was rescinded three weeks before I was supposed to start. I had already planned to relocate for this job, so having the offer pulled so close to my start date was devastating and significantly impacted my life. Management gave me five different excuses for why it happened. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
