Executive Assistant
I applied and got a LinkedIn message within a few days for a screening. Then, I had an in-person interview scheduled at their Mississauga office, which was supposed to be 20 mins with the CEO. It ended up being less than 2 mins. The CEO and another person, likely from HR, were there. The CEO asked just one question, and they didn't really let me answer before wrapping up. I found it frustrating as I drove there for such a short meeting, and it was just the first round. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone; it's a waste of time and money, similar to what they do to other candidates. Save your time and energy for a company that values it. It's advisable to check all interview reviews before applying for any role here to avoid wasting your time.
- How do you maintain your organization?
Digital Marketing Specialist
Applied through LinkedIn and was told there'd be a group panel interview. Showed up and there were over 40 candidates for the role that day. The interview was split into two groups. Each group had to talk about their experience and how they'd boost website conversions. Right after the interview, while I was heading home, HR called to say I got the job and was expected to start the following Monday. I was a bit unsure because this company seems to have a lot of job openings for the same tasks weekly. On Monday, they wanted me to learn their products the same day and help customers. Even though I had ideas, they only wanted to stick to old methods and weren't open to new ideas. By Wednesday, just 3 days in, they let me go at the end of the day. This happened because they don't train you or give you info on their products, expecting you to figure everything out yourself. In those 3 days, I saw about 5 people leave, some quit, and 3 were laid off. So, heads up about this company; I'd only suggest joining if you can handle the pressure from the management (the CEO and CFO).
- Can you introduce yourself? Additionally, how would you enhance a landing page to improve conversion rates?
Manager of Information Technology and Infrastructure
I recently interviewed for a Manager of Information Technology and Infrastructure role, and they said the salary would be competitive. After finishing the interviews, I was offered $85K for a position that's easily worth about $150K, and it's an on-site job. To make things worse, they wanted me to start the very next day, without any consideration for giving my current employer proper notice. The whole process seemed really unprofessional, especially with the below-market salary for a demanding in-person role, especially now when most IT jobs are at least hybrid, or fully remote.
- Would you be able to work on-site full-time?
- Is starting right away feasible for you?
Customer Success Manager
It was a good first interview, lasting about 15 minutes over video call. They asked me about my prior work in medspas since the position is focused on supporting a specific client in that industry. We also talked about general digital marketing, my medical aesthetics background, and how to effectively communicate performance results to clients.
- Could you detail your background with Pay-Per-Click advertising?
