Marketing Coordinator
I came through the Early - Mid Career Applicant: Growth, Product, Operations pipeline, which was thorough but fair. The role is interesting because you don't apply directly, but mark areas of interest and they match you. I went through the pipeline for two roles before settling. After applying, you get virtual interview questions to record and a quick quiz. Then a zoom interview with 2 HR people, focused on personality fit. Next, a paid project relevant to the role. After that, an interview with the hiring manager, and finally an onsite interview. It was a long process, but they were responsive and stages moved quickly.
- What personal goal are you hoping to achieve with this job?
Marketing Coordinator
I applied online and then the next day HR called me for a screening. After that, I had an interview with the Marketing Manager. He gave me a 2-part project that I had 3 days to finish: one part was data analysis and the other was creating a creative brief. They wanted to see both a draft and final version. Then I presented the project to the Marketing Manager and his boss, the Director of Marketing. A few days later, I interviewed with the Director of Marketing. I got rejected a week after that. I tried asking HR for feedback on my interviews and project, but they never replied.
- Can you give an example of a company that provides excellent customer service?
Marketing Coordinator
Applied online and got an email to interview within a couple of weeks. Had a phone screen with a manager and was invited back for a second interview soon after. They said I'd hear back within a week but I was ghosted for almost a month until I saw the position was removed from their careers page. This is the second time I've been ghosted after multiple interviews. Super unprofessional and they seemed unorganized in our brief interactions. Won't apply again.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- Can you share an experience where you took complete responsibility for a project from start to finish?
