Marketing
Awful experience. They make you go through 8 rounds. You do a whole presentation that goes great, then a 1-hour chat where they seem to get free consulting, only to reject you. They even say they want to call to discuss everything but ghost you. Save yourself the time and avoid this place. It feels unethical and poorly run.
- Just a bunch of behavioral questions.
Growth Engineering Manager
I went through the entire interview process at Bonusly which included meeting with the VP of Engineering, then a 4 hour block of interviews for Product Sense, Values, Coding, and System Design. Everyone I met was really kind and passionate about their mission. I was concerned about recent negative reviews and asked directly about them, and everyone was optimistic about the company's future direction. I really enjoyed the entire process. From the recruiter conversation to meeting the VP of Engineering, it felt like they genuinely cared about my experience and my fit with their mission before I went through the rest of the pipeline. Although I didn't receive an offer, I would definitely consider a future position because I'd love to work with the engineers I met. This process reminded me of my Stitch Fix interview 6.5 years ago where they flew me onsite to HQ. It was similarly kind, well-planned, and thorough. I learned a lot and got positive feedback from the recruiter afterward.
- Tell me about a product you like (tech or non-tech) and how you would make it better?
Marketing Events Coordinator
The first round was a phone interview which was nice. If I had moved forward, the next steps would have been a video interview with someone from marketing, then a take-home assignment, and finally a video group interview with the rest of the department. After my initial round, I sent a thank you note but didn't hear back for three days. Then I got an email saying they hired someone else. While I'm fine with that, I did ask for feedback and never got a response. I know I'm not owed anything, but a simple courtesy of feedback, especially when people spend so much time preparing and are genuinely interested in the role and company, makes a big difference. Many of us are job hunting for a long time, and feedback costs nothing to provide.
- Can you tell me about yourself and how you've handled past crises or mistakes?
- What is your most significant event experience, and how did you manage organization?
- Tell me about yourself. How have you dealt with a crisis or mistake before? What's your biggest event experience and how did you keep things organized?
Customer Support Manager
So I had 5 interview rounds, and the whole thing took a little over a month. It started with an HR screening call for 30 minutes. Then a 1-hour chat with the CCO. After that, I spoke with the Director of Operations, and then the Director of CS. The final round was a panel interview where I had to present a deck to the CCO, Dir CS, VP of Product, and the Customer Enablement Leader. That presentation was an hour long. The whole experience was pleasant, everyone was super nice. I'm a bit bummed I didn't get an offer, especially after putting in a week of prep for the final interview, using all my years of experience for exactly what they needed. They even asked for the deck afterward, which I sent. Everything felt like a perfect fit, and each stage went really well. I don't think I overestimated myself, but it really felt like a slam dunk. I got the vibe they might have already hired someone or decided to handle it internally by the time I got to the final round, and they were just fishing for ideas, which I gladly provided with a successful strategy. I guess they wouldn't need me if they had the plan and major execution steps already. Pretty clever way to get solutions without hiring, right? Maybe that's an ethics thing, or maybe I'm just overthinking it. Who knows? :) Anyway, apart from the frustrating part of investing time and not getting an offer, the experience itself was very positive.
- Prepare a deck detailing a 30/60/90 day plan to scale customer support operations, with an emphasis on enhancing the technical product knowledge of the support team.
