First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boll & Branch.
Production
I went through multiple interviews for this role. There was a scenario where I had to write a detailed answer to a situation related to the job. Most of these interviews were conducted over Google Meet.
- What was the reason for leaving your last job?
Creative Director
The interview process was warm and welcoming. The team kept me informed about the next steps and provided timely follow-ups regarding progress. I had the chance to meet with both potential direct reports or colleagues and important cross-functional collaborators.
- What makes you passionate about joining Boll & Branch?
Marketing & Creative
I talked to HR first, and then I was given a project to design a campaign over the weekend. After that, I met with the directors. They didn't ask me anything about the project, just wanted me to present it. Honestly, they barely asked any questions during the whole interview. And then, the feedback they gave my recruiter about why they didn't hire me had lies about what actually happened. I wanted to work there because of their good reputation, but this was one of the worst interview experiences ever. Just a heads up - avoid this place.
- What hobbies do you have?
Marketing
I interviewed with 3 different team members individually. One person I interviewed with actually asked "Are you ok with working with a company that is 85% female?", which I thought was very weird to say. I felt good about the interview but they decided to go with someone else.
