First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boliden.
Geophysicist Engineer
The interview was interesting, mostly behavioral questions. I didn't make it to the final assessment, and I was a bit disappointed they didn't tell me why.
- Tell me about a time you had to work with someone difficult.
Geologist
The interview was set up three months before it happened, and I talked to four people from different places within Boliden. It was supposed to be 30 minutes long, but they said no feedback would be given, which I thought was super disrespectful.
- Could you give a brief introduction of yourself and discuss your career interests?
- Tell me more about your CV and experience.
Data Entry Clerk
The interview process was very straightforward, maybe even surprisingly so. The main focus was on questions about integrity and a candidate's eagerness to learn. While there were some questions about skill level, they weren't a major concern, as it was fully understood that training would be provided.
- What do you believe a company's obligations are to its employees?
Graduate Trainee
So, first there was an online assessment that involved a logical reasoning test and a personality questionnaire. After that, a recruiter from a company that helps Boliden with hiring gave me a call for an online interview. Then, I was invited to an in-person assessment day. This day included group case studies and one-on-one interviews with hiring managers from Boliden.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- How would you describe your working style?
- How do you feel about working in a group setting?
