I had a total of three virtual interviews over Zoom, plus an initial screening call. I spoke with the hiring manager, a VP, and another manager. All three interviews felt pretty relaxed and conversational. They kept me updated well and I got feedback after each stage.

I applied in late February. The first interview was with talent acquisition. The second interview was with the hiring manager, where I was asked technical questions about FX overlay rates and FX hedging strategies. Then I had the 3rd and 4th interviews with members of treasury, followed by a 5th interview with C-level from treasury. After a week, they discussed the financial package with me. However, it turned out I needed sponsorship, and they got stuck. Talent acquisition involved HR, who kept asking nonsense questions. Then HR involved legal, and I was invited to a 6th interview, only to be discarded. I was told during the interview that they had to choose between me and another person, but that was a lie; they didn't want to sponsor. The whole process took 10 weeks. Talent acquisition confirmed there was no other person to choose from. Now, in early May, the very same job post is up again, assigned to a different internal talent acquisition.

I applied for the Customer Support Manager role and was contacted by Boku for a screening call. Unfortunately, the interviewer missed the scheduled call twice. Despite my attempts to follow up via email, I received no response until I involved the hiring manager. The recruiter then incorrectly claimed I was the no-show and couldn't provide proof of her supposed outreach. The hiring manager sent a generic rejection, stating my profile wasn't a match, which contradicts the fact that they initially reached out to me. It seems the recruiter made an error, failed to reschedule, and then tried to cover it up instead of taking responsibility. This experience makes me hesitant to recommend Boku due to their lack of accountability and respect.

It was a typical process. Started with a recruiter chat, then a hiring manager chat. After that, there was a really long take-home assignment that they said would take a week, but it ended up being way over 20 hours, like 3 times longer than any other assignment I've had. Then, I met with different team members to see if I was a good fit. They mentioned they're having trouble hiring for this role because they're looking for someone unique – bilingual and able to both manage projects and do the implementations. They also spoke pretty negatively about their clients during a call, which was a bit weird.
