First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boeing.
Quality Engineer
After applying online, I got a call from HR to talk about my basic needs and they set up a panel interview for the following week. The panel interview with the QE managers was online and was in STAR format. They asked situational or work history related questions. They also asked if I had any quality certifications.
- Can you share an instance of differing communication or work styles with a colleague?
- Describe your experience analyzing large datasets.
- Tell me about a time you faced challenges implementing process improvements.
Quality Inspector
You'll send in your resume and cover letter, making sure to point out your experience, technical skills like using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs, and your knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001 and Six Sigma, as well as your attention to detail. Recruiters will look through the applications for keywords and qualifications that fit the job.
- Can you describe an instance where you discovered a major quality problem? Detail the actions you took to fix it and the final result.
Quality Engineer
I had a technical interview with senior management. They asked about quality situation results. I was asked how I conduct myself with a diverse culture, so I gave examples of where and who I worked with. They asked me about explaining the outcome of a tough situation I was involved in, and I explained how to turn it around for the benefit of both employees and the teams we work with. They also asked me to discuss problem, containment, direct and true root cause, corrective action, implementation schedules, verification of implementation, and post mortem activities.
- Can you describe your approach to the corrective action process?
