First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boeing.
Business Analyst
Boeing's interview process usually has a few steps to check your technical skills, experience, and if you'd fit in. First, you apply online and submit your resume, maybe answering some quick questions. The hiring team looks at your application to see if you have the right skills and experience. Then, if you make the cut, you'll get a phone or video call with a recruiter to talk about your interest in the job.
- Can you describe a past situation, the task you had, the action you took, and the result using the STAR method?
Systems Analyst
The interview experience was a bit awkward. They had five standard behavioral questions, and some questions repeated topics I had already covered, which felt a bit redundant. They did ask some follow-up questions that made the conversation flow better, but mostly they seemed more interested in rehearsed answers than my actual experience. I didn't perform my best on a couple of the behavioral questions, and it felt like neither side was particularly interested in moving forward. On the plus side, the rejection came quickly.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to manage the individual needs of team members on a diverse team.
Systems Analyst
First, there was an in-person interview with the hiring Director and/or Manager. Then, you participate in a team interview with the inner team that you will be working with. It's not a large team interview; the amount of people are from 5 - 12. You are chosen based on the team interview, not the Manager/Director interview.
- How would you approach correcting a Senior Manager if you disagreed with their technical or managerial decisions regarding a project's direction?
