First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BOCI.
Management Trainee
It was a Behavioral Interview, where they assessed my personal competencies, past experiences, and how I'd respond to situations relevant to the Management Trainee program. The conversation was pretty laid-back but structured, and the interviewer really dove into the specifics of my past experiences.
- Can you describe the most challenging project or experience you've faced, and explain how you overcame the difficulties to reach the final result?
DevOps Engineer
There were tests, speaking, and information sharing, and everything was clarified. It was a good experience overall, and everything went smoothly. The people I interacted with were all kind and polite. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. If you're interested in the company, don't hesitate to get in touch.
- What was your experience in your last jobs?
Equity Research Analyst
An HR interview followed by a team meeting. The whole process is expected to be quite smooth and friendly. Mostly in Chinese, except for the self-introduction. The outcome for each round will be shared once you advance to the next stage.
- What made you want to pursue a career in Equity Research?
Analyst
My interview experience with BOCI was great. The whole process was super organized, and HR was clear with communication from the start. The interview itself felt friendly and professional, which really helped me relax. They started by asking about my background and why I applied for the Analyst job, really digging into my past experience and how it fit with what they need at BOCI. Then, we got into the specifics of the job. They asked about my technical skills and how I'd use them in the role, and also gave me some hypothetical problems to see how I solve things and think analytically. It felt like a real conversation; they shared info about the company culture and the team, and were upfront about expectations and growth. I also got to ask questions, and they answered them all thoroughly, giving me a good feel for the place.
- Could you provide some basic information from your resume?
