First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods.
Packaging Development Specialist
I first interviewed in July 2025 and got to the final round, but they picked someone else with print vendor experience. A few months later, they contacted me again because that person left and wanted me to re-interview for the same role. This time it was intense: two interview rounds, one with procurement and creative leaders. Both went great, and I was told I'd hear back by the end of the week. Then, for two weeks, I sent multiple follow-ups, each time being told they'd be in touch 'soon,' but never got an update. Finally, they scheduled a meeting just to say they chose someone else again. Overall, the people were nice and professional, and the interviews were good. But the communication after the interviews was lacking. It was frustrating and seemed disorganized after they asked me to re-interview urgently, especially since I was open about having another offer. Advice for management: If you reach out to previous candidates for a role, especially if they mention their timelines, please be clear, decisive, and prompt with communication. Honesty is better than leaving people hanging.
- How do you handle juggling many urgent deadlines? Are you an organized person?
IT Support Technician
The interview process was really smooth. It started with the recruiter and then moved to a virtual interview with the department. Everything was handled professionally and I have no issues with how it went.
- Why were you interested in applying for this role at our company?
Packaging Content Specialist
After applying, HR got in touch to set up an interview. I met with some of the team members, and it was a pretty relaxed and friendly chat. At the end, we shook hands, and they said they'd be in touch in a few days. I was really excited and even followed up with a thank-you note to the interviewers. I was waiting to hear back about the job, but after a month with no news, I reached out to HR to ask about it. They completely ignored my message, which was pretty surprising. Honestly, Bob's Red Mill is the only place that's ever 'ghosted' me after an interview in my whole career. It's a bit disappointing to see that kind of unprofessionalism, especially since I admire the CEO and really like the products.
- Can you tell me about your experience with FDA compliance?
Packaging Machine Operator
Got an email to come fill out an application. A few other people were there for interviews. The interviewer was nice and made me feel comfortable. She was easy to talk to and answered my questions. We went over my application, and she was understanding about missing info. She explained the job and what's expected. She also clearly explained the 12-hour shift schedule with a chart.
- Can you tell me about a time you overcame a challenge at work?
