Sales Representative
It was a fair but tough interview process. They are very meticulous and professional. There were 3 rounds. If you like to strive for perfection, this is a great place. I would recommend.
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
Sales Host
This hiring journey was way too long and messy. It took over a month from applying to getting the final word, and for a furniture sales job, there were five interviews - three phone calls and two in-person meetings. Nobody could ever tell me what was going on. After each chat, they said they'd get back to me soon, but it usually took about a week or more. Even when I tried to reach out myself via email, messaging on Indeed, or by phone, I usually didn't hear back. It was confusing and hard to know what was happening. The interview with the Director of Sales was bad. He seemed checked out and kept talking to someone off-screen during our chat, making it hard to talk normally. Then he complained I wasn't enthusiastic enough. I thought that was the last step, but almost a week later, another sales manager called me for another phone interview that same day. That call was also a letdown. The manager kept cutting me off, asked weird questions, and seemed annoyed when I didn't say what she wanted. The call ended fast when I asked how we should even communicate with the company to avoid these long waits or confusion. Overall, the whole thing felt unorganized, took forever, and was super unprofessional.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your understanding of Bob Mills?
- Describe your strategy for converting a 'no' into a 'yes'.
Sales Associate
I met with the store manager and we really hit it off. He gave me a tour of the store. Then, a few days later, I interviewed with the district manager. It felt like he was biased against people with higher education because he got to his position without one. It was a weird interview with the District Manager.
- Can you start by telling me about yourself?
Sales Host
I went through two interview sessions before I was hired. The first interview was over the phone with the recruiter, and once I got through that, I was invited to the headquarter for the second interview. I got to interview with three managers in the same room, along with the owner himself.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
