The interview process was long and drawn out. I had to come in five times to meet with different people and teach a class. They seemed really positive about me and indicated I was a strong candidate. Then they went radio silent. I emailed them several times, and finally got a very perfunctory email saying the position was no longer available.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They inquired a lot about my faith and whether I would adhere to their strict rules.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process included a campus visit, a meeting with the Dean, a teaching demonstration, and a faculty meeting. The Dean's meeting focused on Christian fundamentalism and my commitment to a Christian institution, making it clear my personal life could impact employment. I felt I might not be the top candidate, as interactions sometimes felt like a backup plan, though everyone was friendly. I received a polite rejection email with little feedback, which I found lacking transparency given their Christian values. The students seemed excellent, engaged, and respectful, and the faculty appeared to have good relationships.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • How do you practice your faith, and how does it align with our institution's values?
  • Could you elaborate on your commitment to our Christian institution?
