Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BNSF Railway.
Analyst
The interview process was a bit unusual. It started with an online session where all the final candidates met to discuss the job responsibilities. Later that day, there was a separate interview for the actual job. It was a bit of a weird setup, but not too challenging.
- Can you share some examples of past projects you've been involved in?
Analyst
It was a panel interview with 6 interviewers. The questions were what I anticipated. Each person on the panel had one question they asked all candidates. They were very nice and made me feel comfortable.
- Can you share an example of a process you improved?
Analyst
I had to take a couple of tests to see how well I analyzed numbers. I also had to show some of my Microsoft Office skills. This wasn't a typical interview for BNSF, so I don't want to lead people astray on what to expect.
- What is your level of understanding of Microsoft Office?
