3D Artist
The first part was a basic intro chat with about six technical questions. Then, there was a second part where I had to do an art test, specifically modelling a boat. This was followed by more technical questions and some about how I set up my modelling software. Some of the questions were a bit weird.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your process for modeling assets?
- How do you go about optimizing your models?
Intern
The interview process was really straightforward and simple. They asked me to talk about my projects and even demonstrate them. There were some basic questions about AI and data cleaning, followed by specific questions on IQR and K-mean algorithms. They also asked about my suitability for the role and my work permit status.
- Could you elaborate on your past experiences and the projects you've undertaken?
- Walk me through the projects and provide a demonstration.
- What's your understanding of Artificial Intelligence?
Senior Software Engineer
I had two separate hour-long interviews with a few people. The first one was more behavioral, with some general technical questions. The second interview was onsite and focused more on technical aspects. The interviewers were very friendly and relaxed. Nothing seemed too difficult, but I was expecting more of a programming focus, and it turned out to be more of a math focus, which I wasn't prepared for. I think there was a mismatch between the skills mentioned in the job description and the interview questions. I also think it would be helpful for candidates to have a brief description of the areas the interview questions will focus on. The rejection email was just a boilerplate email that still had a placeholder for the job title. I asked for feedback but didn't get a reply.
- What aspects of software engineering do you enjoy and dislike?
Data Scientist
The first part of the interview was a technical one. They wanted me to start with a presentation, and then they'd ask me about it. After that, there were some technical questions. I got really vague feedback that they wanted someone with more data science and consulting experience, which was weird for a grad role.
- Can you explain what overfitting is and how to handle it?
- What are your strategies for dealing with missing data?
- Under what circumstances would you choose median imputation over mean imputation, or vice versa?
