Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BMO Financial Group.
AML Investigator
First, there was an in-person group assessment at First Canadian Place before the actual interview. You could bring your own laptop/tablet, but ChatGPT was not allowed. After the results came out, there was a second interview with 3 managers, done virtually. A case study was given a few days before the interview.
- Given the file, what are your thoughts on the AML flags?
- Tell me about your career goals.
- What are your expectations from management?
Fraud Analyst
The process was pretty smooth and organized. It had two main stages: first, a chat with HR, then a meeting with the management team. They let me know the outcome within a week, and I ended up accepting their offer.
- Can you share your experience in mitigating fraud?
Fraud Analyst
After applying online, HR reached out to me. They then sent my info to the hiring manager. I did a background check, and then had a meeting with two floor managers. They asked standard interview questions. It was friendly and personable, yet professional.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with our company?
