I had a recruiter screen and a hiring manager 1:1, but unfortunately didn't make it to the final stage. The recruiter was great to communicate with, but the 1:1 wasn't so good. It turns out the role was misrepresented; it was actually an account management position disguised as project management. The interview felt very one-sided and full of 'gotcha' questions. Trying to get details about the actual job responsibilities was like pulling teeth. Plus, the company wasn't even listed on the interviewer's LinkedIn. Considering the company's reputation, I decided it was a hard pass for me.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process felt a bit disorganized, as if the interviewers weren't entirely sure what they were looking for in a candidate for this Director of Operations role. The initial interview seemed to align well with the job description, but then the second interview shifted focus completely, feeling like it was for a different position altogether.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The second interview consisted entirely of HR questions, which were not relevant to the position.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied for the position and interviewed shortly after. The first round was with the department lead where we discussed my resume and past experience in a casual setting. Immediately after, I was sent into the next round where I had to create a presentation/project for the job. I then presented this deck to department heads and the team. I was told I would hear back in a few days, but after following up a week later, there was no response. A month has passed and I've been ghosted. Be aware that you might be doing free work with no common decency.

  • Can you elaborate on your previous experience?
  • What are your aspirations for the future?
  • Could you share your experience with management?
