The interviewing process at this location and company is pretty terrible. I applied in April and finally got an interview invite in June. Then there was a 3-4 week silence before I was contacted again for an in-person shadowing opportunity. Initially, communication with the Manager was easy and quick, but the second time around, they were always in meetings. After rescheduling the in-person shadowing, I spent two hours observing the role, which involved standard check-ins, client payments, and ensuring data accuracy. I was given a tour of the hospital and shadowed a new employee. Following this, I was informed that the manager would consult with their supervisor, then HR would reach out, and the process would take about 3-4 weeks. It's been about two months now with no updates or contact. It's frankly ridiculous to take 6 months to hire someone when people need to earn income.

The interview process was really thorough. They showed me all the advanced machines and equipment used for diagnosing health issues during the hospital tour as part of my interview. The manager who interviewed me was very professional and contacted me quickly to let me know they were looking for someone with more experience. However, they mentioned they would keep my resume on file since positions are constantly changing. The questions asked weren't basic ones like your typical 'best/worst quality' questions.

There were 3 interviews total; the first was with a Recruiter, the second was with the APM, and the final one was with both the PM and a Tech Manager. The main questions you are asked are situational - how do you interact with unhappy clients/owners/peers, as this is the bulk of your interactions (because it is a stressful industry.) Overall I feel 3 interviews for a lead CSR role is a bit extensive but it was not unpleasant.

  • Can you share an instance where you had to de-escalate a tense interaction with an owner or peers, and describe whether the outcome was positive or negative?

I was contacted by a recruiter after applying online. Then I got an email from the regional hospital manager. After that, I had an in-person interview that lasted about 2 hours. It started with a tour of the clinic, and then there was a 1.5-hour paper test, which was unexpected. The test had some easy questions, like reference ranges for TPR. There were also questions about medication calculations, solutions, fluids, and CRI. The anesthesia test was really detailed, asking about A/A concentration, MACs of inhalants, antidotes, how to treat VPCs, how to start ventilation, and PEEP reference values. It also included recognizing ECG and capnogram patterns. After the test, there was a very short interview with questions read from a list.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you describe your experience with anesthesia and other clinical skills in a written format?
