Senior Product Manager - Technical
Interview with HR - Basic questions about my past experience (what you can see on the CV). I got a standard email saying I was not moving to next phase. When I asked the reasons why, none answered me.
- Can you tell me about your experience in previous projects?
Product Manager
The first step was a brief chat with HR. The HR person wasn't as nice as you'd hope. We discussed the role and they wanted to learn some basics about me. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I never did, even though they claimed Blueground always follows up. It looked like a good chance, but the HR person made the experience bad.
- Can you tell me about your favorite tool or app and why you like it?
Product Manager
So this whole thing took about a month. Right after I applied, a recruiter hit me up pretty fast. First up was a phone screen, and then pretty quickly they told me the next step was a take-home assignment. After I sent that back, we set up an onsite interview to go over it. When I got to the onsite, the product manager I was supposed to meet with was super upfront and let me know they'd already hired someone for that specific role. But, they asked if I still wanted to go through with it in case another position opened up down the line, and I was cool with that. So we kept going. Honestly, the whole experience gave me a really good vibe about the company and the people. I especially liked how open everything was and how everyone treated me well.
- Can you walk me through a typical day in your current role?
