Support Engineer
A recruiter started the interview with salary expectations question. On my pretty average across Europe response they said it's too much, considering it's a night shift position, and the rest of interview was completely pointless. What a waste of my time. Very rude and unprofessional.
- What are your salary expectations?
Support Engineer
I applied online and the recruiter called to set up a 30-minute non-technical chat. Then, a recruitment coordinator called to arrange a 30-minute Zoom technical interview. The next week, I had an on-site interview with a Team Lead and a Senior Technical Resource. They focused mainly on customer support experience rather than technical skills. After waiting over a week and sending a couple of emails, I found out they chose another candidate.
- Regarding DHCP Failover, what is the MCLT value?
- Can you explain the DORA process?
- What are zone transfers and different types of DNS zones?
Support Engineer
I went through 3 rounds of interviews. There was a technical round, a director round, and a VP round. It was a great experience overall. I'd recommend brushing up on CCNA basics and being confident with your answers to impress the interview panel. It was simply an awesome experience. The interview panel was really nice and asked questions about my past experiences.
- Can you explain the basics of networking?
- What is DNS?
- What is DHCP?
