First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bluebird Care.
Care Assistant
The interviewer was kind and professional, giving an amazing interview and explaining the next steps. I did have to pay for my DBS though, which was unexpected as the listing stated they would cover it.
- How would you show respect to a client in their home?
Care Assistant
First, we had a basic interview where I introduced myself and answered some scenario-based questions. Then, there was a basic aptitude test that included numerical reasoning, basic reading, and writing questions. Finally, there was a training and shadowing period with a final assessment on how to administer medications.
- What is your approach to dealing with a challenging client?
Care Assistant
I rang up about the Care Assistant job. I had a chat with Charlene first where she asked about my care experience and my availability. She was really friendly on the phone. Then Charlene asked me to come in for an interview. She asked me about myself, what I enjoy doing, and about my current job. I thought she was sincere. She then asked general questions about my background and what I'd do in different scenarios. She also gave me a lot of information about the company and the services they offer to people in their homes.
- When providing personal support care, how would you ensure the individual's dignity and respect are maintained?
Health Care Assistant
I got an email asking me to come for a Zoom interview. It was less than 30 minutes and I answered all the questions they asked. After the first interview, they said they'd email me if I was successful or if I got invited for a second interview. Luckily, I got the second email and had the second interview after about 14 working days, which took around 15 minutes.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What skills does a good carer possess?
- Describe your course of action if you find a patient lying down.
