Volunteer Director
Had a Zoom interview with the recruiter. It was super friendly and chill! The company seems amazing, and you could really tell how much she enjoys her job, which made talking easy.
- What draws you to this position?
Evaluation Manager
I had a Zoom HR interview that lasted about 30 minutes. They asked about my salary expectations during this first interview. Over a week later, I got an email for a panel interview with two people, scheduled for over two weeks out, which felt like a long time to wait. In the interview, I found out one of the interviewers was on vacation. I think that panel went well. I was told I'd hear back by the end of the week but didn't. I contacted HR, my only point of contact, and was switched to a new HR person who was really bad. This new person said they just got the cases but that the team liked me and wanted another panel interview in less than 24 hours. I was shocked but agreed since I need a job. The new HR person didn't send a Zoom link, so I had to email them 30 minutes before to ask for it. This really lowered my excitement. I had a third panel interview with three new people, which I thought went well, but I didn't get the job. I asked the HR person for feedback, and they never responded.
- Would you be comfortable working remotely?
- What motivates you to work for this company?
- Can you describe your experience with survey platforms, statistical software, and Tableau?
Associate Director
The interview process had a lot of red flags. The first interview was a 15-minute screener with an HR rep who was not friendly and didn't try to connect at all. We immediately started with the first question, and she just recorded my answers without any interaction or feedback, making it feel very impersonal and strange, almost like an automated process. Within two hours, I got an email for my next interview the following morning, with no regard for my military work schedule. Two hours after that second interview, I was told my panel interview would be the next business day. After the panel interview, there was silence for three weeks, followed by a form rejection email. I was expecting a phone call or at least a personal email after rearranging my work schedule for three interviews. I replied to the form rejection, thanking them for their time and asking for feedback on my resume or interviews, but that email was ignored.
- Tell me about why you are interested in working for our company.
- Would you be alright with not receiving health insurance benefits?
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
Social Impact
First, there was an HR screening call, scheduled for 30 minutes. The HR person went straight into screening questions, muting herself after each one before unmuting for the next. It was very formal, with no small talk. I found out during this call that the organization doesn't provide health insurance, which, while not a dealbreaker for me, might be for others. The next step was an interview with the hiring manager and another team member. They asked questions related to the job description, mostly typical interview questions, not really any behavioral ones. I sent a thank you email but didn't hear back. It's been several months, so it's safe to assume I didn't get the job, as the position is now filled on their website. It would have been nice to get some confirmation, especially since I'm a member of the community they aim to serve (veterans and their families). The silence after two interviews felt a bit strange.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- Have you worked with Tableau before?
