First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
Data Analyst
The interview process was pretty smooth and organized. They asked some basic questions that were more about assessing if I was a good fit and looking at my past experience. The interviewers used scenario-based questions to get a sense of my problem-solving approach, and honestly, it was the best interview experience I've had.
- If presented with a specific situation, what would be your approach to resolving it?
Business Systems Analyst
Applied to the position and made sure my application had the exact qualifications to get past their ai application thresholds. Got a call back to interview week or 2 later. The interview was with 2 individuals and was a mostly chill atmosphere. They only asked generalized interview questions and just wanted to see if you were a good fit for the team. Got a call back a week later and an offer.
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake.
- Describe someone who has instilled trust in you.
Intern
The interview process involved the STAR method. We had a phone interview first, and then a panel interview via zoom. The first interview was entirely STAR questions with no other conversation, but the second one was more laid back.
- Can you tell me about your greatest weakness?
Executive Assistant
The interview process was okay, but it appears they prioritize internal hires. If you're competing against someone from within, it might feel like a pointless exercise. I completed three interview stages and was among the final three candidates, but they ultimately chose the internal applicant. Honestly, it felt like a waste of my time.
- Can you share an instance where you took initiative without being prompted?
