Compliance Analyst
I had three interviews, one phone call and two via Zoom, all very professional. I didn't get the job, but the experience was smooth and comfortable. The initial call with HR gave me a good overview of the team, the role, and the company's culture.

HR Business Partner
I'm not usually one for reviews, and I don't want to bash the process, but honestly, I'm a bit let down by how things went. It's not about not getting the job, but after investing several hours in the recruitment phase – which involved four interviews, each about an hour long, plus spending an extra 2.5 hours on CMA assessments over the weekend at their request – I received an automated rejection email from Workday a couple of days after my last interview. The subject line was just 'Thanks for Applying!'. It felt like someone just clicked a button and sent a two-sentence automated message. I get that recruiters talk to a lot of people, but I was really hoping for at least a quick phone call or an email from the recruiter, especially since we'd been in regular contact. That automated email felt really cold and made me wonder about the respect shown to other potential candidates and even current employees. You have an extra two minutes in your day; don't avoid delivering difficult news. I had long conversations with the recruiter and four other HR team members, and I felt like they all went well. But all I got was a generic 'this was a hard decision, but we're going with another candidate who...'. I'm glad you have options; that's not surprising in today's market. I'm not saying I was the best candidate, but I am saying the candidate experience wasn't great. If I had to sum it up, it was a strong start but a weak finish. I truly wish BlueKC the best in finding the right person, but I hope they improve their process. It's a quick way to make a 'top candidate' never apply again.

Customer Service Representative
The interview was great. I interviewed with a group of supervisors/management. They asked me questions about my past experience, what I would do in this situation, and general interview questions. After that, a higher group of management came in and I was able to talk with them about my experience etc. I asked a lot of questions to each group I spoke with. I felt very relaxed and everyone was very nice which made the interview so much easier.
- Can you share your previous experience?
- Describe how you would handle a specific situation.
- What are some common interview questions you've encountered?
IT Intern
I found them at the career fair on campus. They were looking for anyone with an EECS sticker and told us to visit their booth because they were really interested in hiring interns. After talking with them, I got a call back for an interview the next day. That interview was really nice and laid back. They asked standard behavioral questions, and they seemed genuinely interested in my responses. Then, they called again to set up an on-site interview. This one was similar to the previous interview, with similar behavioral questions and a few not-too-difficult technical questions. They gave me a gift basket afterwards and offered me the job later that week.
- Can you describe a time you had a conflict with a coworker or team member?
