First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BLS International Services.
PHP Laravel Full Stack Engineer
Applied through Naukri. Had an HR Round where they asked me about myself and my experience. Then a Technical Round with basic questions on PHP, Laravel, database, and React. Finally, a Machine Round, which was in-office, where they asked Laravel and React questions and about CRUD operations that I needed to perform.
- Can you tell us about yourself and your experience?
- What are your thoughts on PHP, Laravel, databases, and React?
- Can you explain Laravel and React, and how to perform CRUD operations?
Bid Manager
The process was straightforward. However, the HR team was quite inefficient and lazy, engaging in salary negotiations for three weeks straight. This ultimately concluded with the feedback that there was no budget. The most surprising aspect was their inability to offer an industry-standard 30% hike. In an ideal scenario, they shouldn't be inviting candidates for interviews if they don't have the necessary budget.
- Walk me through your resume.
HR Manager
First, a recruiter did a screening interview to check if I was a good fit for the role. Then, the Hiring Manager interviewed me about my experience and asked some situational questions. Finally, I met with the Head of Operations to make sure I would fit into the organization and understand the reporting structure.
- Can you share examples of your relevant past experience and achievements?
Visa Officer
First, submit your application via the BLS International website or other job sites. Make sure your resume and cover letter show you have the skills and experience needed for a visa officer. After reviewing, the HR team will screen applications to pick candidates based on their qualifications. Shortlisted people will be called for an interview, which might be in person, by phone, or video. You'll likely get technical questions about visa processing, consular services, and immigration laws. Behavioral questions will also be asked to check your problem-solving, decision-making, and how you handle tough situations. They'll also see if you're a cultural fit. If language skills are important for the role, they might test that too. Some places might have extra tests like written exams or mock visa processing. If the interview goes well, they'll check your references. If you pass everything and they like you, you might get a job offer.
- Could you walk me through the steps for applying for [specific country] visas?
