Product Manager
So, from applying to Bloomscape to them closing the application, the whole thing took over 10 weeks. There were 6 interviews with 8 people in total. First was a phone screen with a recruiter. Then a video interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had video interviews with one team member, then two team members, then another one team member, and finally two more team members. Interviews 3 through 6 all happened in the same week. I followed up the next week and they said the position was on hold forever. I'm giving it a neutral rating because there were good and bad parts. The good stuff: I really liked Bloomscape's mission and the people. Everyone I talked to was smart, knew their stuff, and was nice. I would have loved to work and learn from them. It was also clear they had done their research and knew what they wanted to ask me, so I rarely got the same question twice, even with 8 different people. The bad stuff: The communication was all over the place. Sometimes they said the job was super urgent and had support from top management and a budget, and other times it was on hold because they were changing strategic priorities. I got the feeling that decisions at Bloomscape are made by a group consensus. LinkedIn shows they have 47 employees and I met with 8 of them. That means 17% of their employees were involved in just this one hiring decision. I'm not sure if this means they really need everyone to agree to move forward, or if it means top management doesn't trust a couple of people to make a hiring decision.

- How would you approach solving a current business problem at Bloomscape?
Director
It was very straight forward a mix of behavioral questions and past experience and was 3 rounds of interview, a screening interview, and interview with HR lead and one with the hiring manager.
- Can you discuss your previous experience?
- What are your qualifications for this role?
- What interests you about Bloomscape?
VP Growth
The interview process started with a brief recruiter call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. This was supposed to be a video call but it was just a phone call, which was a bit of a letdown. Then, I had meetings with a team member I'd worked with before and her husband, who seemed to have a negative impression of me. This was odd given the hiring manager mentioned he needed to be 'protected' from the CEO. Even though I had a scheduled call with the CEO and the hiring manager still wanted to chat, I got an automated message saying I was no longer a candidate. It's fine not being a fit, but I expected better communication and a proper explanation, especially after putting in a lot of preparation time. The whole thing felt very unprofessional.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?
