Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blood Cancer United.
Campaign Specialist
Had a video interview with the manager. It was less than 30 minutes and pretty conversational. They asked about how I handle stress.
- What would you do if a vendor/donor backed out of a donation right before an event?
Campaign Specialist
The Director emailed to get things started. The first interview is meeting with the Campaign Director and Executive Director. If they like you, they'll email to set up a second interview. In the second interview, you'll meet the Director and Executive Director again to discuss your background and personality. You'll also need to give a presentation to other employees who will ask questions. If they want to hire you, they'll call with an offer. After accepting, they'll send you what you need to finish the hiring process online.
- Can you share a situation where you encountered a problem and how you resolved it?
- What is your understanding of our organization?
- How will your previous experience contribute to your success in this position?
Campaign Specialist
It started with a quick phone chat, probably to see if I'm a good fit personality-wise and if I communicate well, since that's a big part of the job. The in-person part was really chill too. Everyone there was super approachable and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about their work, even if they were just putting on a show.
- Can you describe your past campaign experience?
- What are your strategies for handling various campaign-related tasks and challenges?
