My interview experience was truly bizarre and I honestly wouldn't recommend applying here. While I understand the entrepreneurial mindset of startups, this company appears very unstable. My first interview involved being asked about my planned vacation days for the whole year. The salary initially listed was $190k, but during the interview, it was stated as $135k-$160k. I asked about the role's stability, and the interviewer seemed confident. After the interview, she scheduled a second one with my potential manager and sent an NDA, which is normal. However, just 4 hours before the second interview, I received an email stating the position was put on hold for reevaluation. I declined further opportunities, and I strongly advise anyone in communications to avoid this company due to numerous red flags.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was pretty standard, starting with HR interviews and then moving on to the hiring manager interviews. In total, I had 4 interviews with 5 different people. The whole thing took about 4 weeks, mostly because of my schedule; otherwise, it probably would have been 2-3 weeks. Each interview was about an hour long and all were done over Zoom or Teams. I thought the process was well-organized and professional. Honestly, for a startup, they operated at a really high level, which was impressive.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process had just two rounds, which was a nice change. The main issues were that the second round was rescheduled 2 or 3 times, with last-minute changes. When I finally had the interview, the interviewees were very unprofessional and rude. Their questions were easy and basic, but when I answered, they always acted like it wasn't good enough. I ended up getting rejected, and HR sent a standard, scripted, no-reply email. Note to HR: if you make it to the final round, at least send a personal email, not something from your system. I wouldn't have felt compelled to write a bad review if you had treated me like a real person.

The interview process was fast and effective. It was nice to talk to a company that actually cared about my Android development skills. Everyone was friendly and engaging. The people I spoke with were very knowledgeable, and the job itself sounds really interesting.
