First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blockade Runner Beach Resort.
Front Desk Agent
The interview process was pretty typical and straightforward, and not too difficult. It was just one interview round. I met with the front desk manager and they hired me right away. The training period wasn't very long.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Director of Marketing
Got a call about a week after I applied. I met with them in their hotel dining area for about 45 minutes. We talked about their family business, how they operate, and what they expect from employees. The next day, I got an offer, but it was so low I didn't even bother to counter.
- Would it be an issue for you that we require all employees to be on-site 24 hours a day during storms and holidays?
Food Server
It was brief, thorough, and the manager was very kind. She was honest with me about my responsibilities and how many hours I would get, etc. I was also impressed by how personable she was. I felt like she genuinely cared and was curious about who I was, not just how well I was doing in this interview.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
