The interview was super unprofessional. She called me on the day of the interview and asked me to come in two hours later. Right from the start, it seemed like she didn't care about getting to know me. She kept getting frustrated because she couldn't understand why I wanted a part-time job while I was studying at university and planning to major in economics. She spoke to me in a really condescending way. When I asked about the hiring decision timeline, she said, "Well you need to come in for a week and then we decide," as if I should have already known that. She mentioned she'd call me to discuss training, but she never did. I called and texted her several times, but she never responded. It was a bad experience overall.

I saw their ad on Craigslist looking for baristas for Blenz locations in Vancouver, including the one at my school, UBC. A few days later, I got an email for an interview at their head office. It was a big group interview, which felt more like a company advertisement than an interview. The VP of Blenz was there, and he talked about Blenz and asked us what we knew about them. Then, we had to pair up with someone and introduce them to the room after about 5 minutes. After that, we filled out an application, handed in our resumes, and left. The process was really smooth and didn't feel stressful at all.

Had a basic in-person interview at the store with the owners. They asked standard questions about my experience, work ethic, and availability. I got to ask a lot of questions and they gave a very open and detailed explanation of the daily tasks, training, and shift timings. They were accommodating with my school schedule since most staff are students.
